Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., is easily one of the greatest heavyweight professional boxers in history. Ali was also famous for his values outside the ring and was a champion of religious freedom and racial justice. He was arrested for evading the draft and even had his titles stripped. The decision was overturned in 1971, but Ali still stood as an important symbol of the counter-culture movement. He was named “Sportsman of the Century” by Sports Illustrated and “Sports Personality of the Century” by BBC.
Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds flies into the end zone and literally “touches down” in this Air Force/Navy football game from 2014 which the Air Force won. The game was played at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in honor of the athletes competing in the 2014 Warrior Games. Started in 2010, the games bring together the ill, injured, and wounded from all branches of military to show their resilient spirit and strength.
