When Reese Witherspoon came in for the first day of shooting the movie Wild, she didn’t know she would be doing the entire film makeup-free. She was in her first hair and makeup session when Director Jean-Marc Vallee stopped her from getting into the make up chair and told her the role would be makeup-free.
The film was a resounding success, though, thanks in no small part to Witherspoon’s character portrayal. The film has an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and garnered a glut of award nominations, including best actress for Witherspoon. Witherspoon recently starred in the Hulu web series Little Fires Everywhere.
