Now, this one is just crazy! For some hard-to-explain reason, this fitness center provides two sets of front-door escalators, even though taking the stairs hardly looks like a tiring task. And unbelievably enough, these gym-goers have chosen the escalator over the more healthy alternative.
It’s the apex of irony: going to a place where you’re supposed to work out but acting your laziest all the way until you get there. It’s like asking for an Uber to go to the garage and then step into your car. It’s a self-defeating principle, and it’s impossible to grasp why these escalators were built in the first place.
