Mickey Rourke, Age 70 – The Wrestler
Mickey Rourke’s Hollywood career is a story of setbacks, followed by comebacks—a tale of adversity and defiance and rags to riches. Growing up in a troubled household, Rourke found solace in boxing and fighting, but a sporting injury, however, led to his acting debut in a short 1976 film Love in the Hamptons.
After years as a struggling actor, Rourke hit the jackpot with the 1986 movie 9 ½ weeks and followed up with cult classics like Sin City, The Wrestler, Angel Heart, and Iron Man 2. Rourke has several movies currently in the works, including The Commando, Warhunt, Man of God, and 3 Days Rising.
