Mickey Rourke’s Hollywood career is a story of setbacks, followed by comebacks—a tale of adversity and defiance and rags to riches. John Royce Mathis is an American singer-songwriter who’s achieved great success in the music industry. Several dozens of his albums were in fact, certified gold or platinum. John has sold over 360 million records worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling artists in the world. He also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Moreover, his music has been used in many TV shows like the X-files and Mad Men. Mathis also appeared in the finale of season 14 of the television show Criminal Minds.

Sally Field – 77, $55 Million

American actress and director Sally Field started her career in comedies like The Flying Nun and The Girl with Something Extra. But in truth, she rose to fame after starring in the series Sybil, which earned her an Emmy Award. Regarding her career in film, she starred in movies like Moon Pilot, The End, Heroes, and Hooper. Although, it wasn’t until she starred in the drama Norma Rae that she bagged an Oscar, and her career skyrocketed even more.

Lee Majors officially became a Hollywood celebrity after starring in various shows like The Big Valley, The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Fall Guy. In the ’90s, he had supporting acting roles in films such a Trojan War, Big Fat Liar, Out Cold, and The Brothers Solomon. Besides that, he’s also had a prolific career in voice acting.

The 80-year-old, who’s married to model Faith Cross, voiced characters for popular video games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In 2018, he appeared in an episode of the show Fuller House.

Jane Fonda – 86, $200 Million

Jane Fonda is one of the most admired figures in the entertainment industry. She’s accomplished so much in every area of her life whether it’s through acting, modeling, and activism. She’s won two Oscars, seven Golden Globes, two BAFTAs, an Emmy, and the Honorary Golden Lion. Jane started out in Broadway but then had a fantastic run in cinema with films like Barbarella, Barefoot in the Park, 9 to 5.

Besides these, she also released a series of exercise videos in the ’80s, which ended up selling over 17 million copies. Currently, she stars in the Netflix comedy series Grace and Frankie.

Lauren Chapin, Age 78 – Father Knows Best

Born in 1945, Lauren Chapin was a child actor known and loved for her role as Kathy “Kitten” Anderson, the youngest sibling on the 1950 hit television show Father Knows Best.

Following the end of her sitcom in 1960, Chapin’s life took a turn for the worst, and she struggled with substance abuse and domestic financial disputes. Her court cases with her mother, coupled with her controversial habits, led Chapin to bankruptcy. To make ends meet, she was forced to become a female escort and was subsequently jailed. Today, Chapin has a $6-million fortune, made a full recovery, and has found solace in faith and religion.

Ron Howard, Age 70 – The Andy Griffith Show

One of the most acclaimed directors of our generation, Ron Howard, comes from a family with a rich acting heritage. Not only did his parents themselves enjoy the Hollywood spotlight, his two daughters, Paige and Bryce, are also successful showbiz actors.

Howard hit the jackpot with one of his earliest acting gigs on the popular 1954 television series The Andy Griffith Show as Opie Taylor. After making his directorial debut in Grand Theft Auto in 1977, Howard has gone on to direct blockbusters like A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, and Frost/Nixon. Howard and his brother Clint are set to release their memoir The Boy: A Memoir of Hollywood and Family.

Kathleen Hughes, Age 95 – Revenge

The blonde-haired beauty was born in Hollywood, California, as Elizabeth Margaret von Gerkan, better known by her professional name Kathleen Hughes. Having caught the acting bug from watching movies, she worked with major film studios like 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios during her illustrious career.

After making her acting debut in 1948, Hughes gave memorable performances in movies like Revenge, For Men Only, and Telephone time. Although she has not worked in Hollywood for over two decades, her 2018 short movie Swamp Women Kissing Booth gives us hope of a Kathleen Hughes comeback.

Donna Martell, Age 96 – Grace Kelly

Born in Los Angeles, California, Donna Martell was recommended to a talent agency by a fellow student while studying at Los Angeles City College. She made her acting debut in 1947 in the western-themed movie Apache Rose, which earned her a contract with Universal-International.

During the ‘50, Martell pivoted to become a freelance actor and shifted her focus on television shows, appearing in popular productions like Cavalcade of America and Cheyenne. Apart from her return in the 1983 television film Grace Kelly, Martell retired from acting in the early ‘60s for unspecified reasons and has stayed away from the spotlight ever since.

Maureen McCormick, Age 64 – The Brady Bunch

An acclaimed American actress, author, and musician, Maureen McCormick rose to fame following her role as Marcia Brady on ABC’s popular ‘70s TV series The Brady Bunch. Along with her solo album, When You Get a Little Lonely, McCormick also released four additional albums in collaboration with her Brady Bunch Cast.

After the end of her popular show, McCormick fell prey to substance abuse but persevered, eventually overcoming her shortcomings in life. She is also credited with performances in popular movies like Teen Angel and Aileron. McCormick is gearing up to make appearances in the series Tamaron Hill and the documentary, Frozen in Time.

Chevy Chase, Age 77 – National Lampoon

Actor and Comedian Cornelius Crane Chase, better known as Chevy Chase, has enjoyed a long showbiz career after making his proper debut in the 1971 series The Great American Dream Machine. Chase got his big break a few years down the line, with a leading role as Tony Carlson in the mystery-comedy Foul Play.

Over the years, Chase has given memorable performances in films like National Lampoon’s Vacation, Caddyshack and Three Amigos, along with a long stint in the hit television series Community. Chase will return with his comedic prowess in Frank Peluso’s upcoming comedy flick, The Ogvily Fortune.

Collin Chou, Age 53 – The Forbidden Kingdom

Taiwanese actor Collin Chou was born in Kaohsiung City, located by the southern bay of Taiwan. His parents named him Hsiao-Lung Chou, but he later changed it to Sing Ngai when making his acting debut as Chopin in the 1987 film Promising Young Boy.

In the early ‘00s, he changed his name again to Collin Chou before appearing in his breakout role as Seraph in the 2003 action flick The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In 2008, he gave one of his most memorable performances to date as Jade Warlord in The Forbidden Kingdom. Chou’s upcoming movies include the martial arts action movie Crazy Fist and Nezha (Life as Lotus).

Judd Hirsch, Age 86 – Taxi

During his 50 years in showbiz, Judd Seymore Hirsch has proved his mettle as a film, television, and stage actor. After studying acting at HB Studio in New York City, he made his film debut in 1971 as an extra in Jump.

Hirsch found his footing in Hollywood after a masterful performance as Alex Reiger during his six-season-tenure starring in the television series Taxi. He has also appeared in blockbusters like Independence Day, A Beautiful Mind, and Ordinary People. In 2021, Hirsch is starring as the lead in the Marvin Samel-directed family film iMordecai.

Liza Minelli, Age 75 – Cabaret

Renowned for her role as Sally Bowles in the 1972 classic Cabaret, Liza May Minelli was born to famous parents who were in the showbiz industry themselves. Although she was interested in ice skating as a youngster, her appearance in a 1963 musical Best Foot Forward allowed Minelli to appear on talk shows and kick-started her acting and musical career.

Minelli is one of the select few performers with an EGOT. After her Academy Award-winning performance in Cabaret, she went on to win an Emmy for Liza with a Z. Minelli is currently busy filming her upcoming documentaries Broadway: The Next Generation and Song of the Century.

Al Roker, Age 66 – The Today Show

Legendary weather forecaster and anchor Al Roker might describe himself as ‘nothing special’ and ‘goofy-looking,’ but his impressive resume paints an entirely different picture altogether. Renowned for his skills as the weathercaster on NBC’s Today Show, Roker battled obesity during his early career, which also had an adverse impact on his married life.

Along with the Al Roker Show, he is also credited with notable on-screen appearances in films like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Robots, and The Big Year. After producing four movies and documentaries in 2020, Roker is busy as a weatherman on NBC’s Today show, while also corresponding on NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

JOHN DALY, AGE 55 – PGA TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Professional golfer John Daly is still at it at 55, continuously making a statement on the course. In May 2021, he made the headlines again after being spotted with a cigarette in his mouth while hitting a ball at the PGA Championship. He was also seen with a cup of Diet Coke at seven in the morning during the competition. In September 2020, Daly revealed that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had since undergone a procedure. This health problem, which he thought was only kidney stones, caused the legendary athlete to back out from the 2020 Charles Schwab Series.

ROBERT WAGNER, AGE 91 – NCIS

Starring in TV shows like “Hart to Hart” and “It Takes a Thief” earned Robert Wagner notoriety in the industry. On the big screen, you might have seen him in the trilogy of “Austin Powers” films or ” The Concorde … Airport ’79.” He gained renewed attention in his later roles as Teddy Leopold in “Two and a Half Men” from 2007 to 2008 and Anthony DiNozzo Sr. in “NCIS” from 2010 to 2019.

While he hasn’t taken any acting roles of late, we saw him in the 2021 video documentary “Forever Doris.” Away from the screen, Wagner lives with his wife Jill St. John in Aspen Colorado. They constructed their home in 1995 but also maintain a Los Angeles condo.

Susan Dey, Age 68 – The Partridge Family

Best known for her portrayal of Laurie Partridge on the family sitcom The Partridge Family, Susan Hallock Dey started her career as a model before landing her role as Laurie at the age of 17. She made her film debut in a minor role as a passenger on a hijacked airplane in 1972’ Skyjacked.

The Gloden Globe AWard-winning actress found success after starring in L.A. Law in 1986, playing as Grace Owen on the drama series until 1992. Her other notable film credits also include the 1981 sci-fi thriller Looker and L.A. Law: The Movie. In 2020, she appeared on an episode of the television series Stars in the House.

Robby Benson, Age 66 – One On One

Robin David Segal is credited as Robby Benson in his work as a composer, singer, and actor. He made his way under the spotlight in the ’70s when appearances in movies like “One on One” and “Ice Castles” made him a teen idol. Benson is still hard at work with his acting chops displayed in the 2019 film “A Feeling of Home.”

Off of the screen, Benson has written a novel, and in 2012 he released his memoir “I’m Not Dead…” The 1974 Golden Globe nominee is also credited for composing songs like “We Are Not Alone,” which featured as a soundtrack on “The Breakfast Club.” Throughout his pursuits, he has the support of his wife, Karla DeVito, and their two children.

Daryl Hannah, Age 63 – Kill Bill

Daryl Hannah was a movie geek as a child and always aspired to be an actress herself. This dream was realized in 1978 when she was cast as Pam in Brian De Palma’s horror flick, The Fury.

Hannah shot to stardom following her masterful performances in subsequent movies like Splash, Roxanne, Blade Runner, and Kill Bill. Apart from her showbiz career, she is also an animal and human rights activist and an environmentalist. In 2021, Hannah will play Flora in Jeff Espanol’s thriller The American Connection.

Don Johnson, Age 71 – Miami Vice

Still remembered and revered almost three decades later for his memorable portrayal of Detective James Crockett in the ‘80s blockbuster hit series Miami Vice, Donnie Wayne Johnson is not only a successful actor, director, and producer but also an acclaimed singer and songwriter.

After his 1970 debut in The Magic Garden of Stanley Sweetheart, Johnson has contributed to countless popular films and movies, including Django Unchained, Knives Out, and A Boy and His Dog Vic. In 2021, Johnson is busy producing and acting in his new television movie Nash Bridges while also filming Rebel Ridge and Shriver.

Robert De Niro, Age 80 – The Godfather

With commanding performances in big-screen masterpieces like The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Irishman, Casino, Heat, and Raging Bull, there is little doubt Robert De Niro is one of the greatest acting legends of our generation.

When he was 16, De Niro dropped out of school to pursue acting and started out in Broadway plays. In 1969, he appeared in his first movie, The Wedding Party. He got his big break with a masterful performance in the 1973 Bang The Drum Slowly, and Hollywood began to take notice. The two-time Oscar winner is currently working on multiple films, including Armageddon Time, After Exile, and Killers of the Flower Moon.

Samuel L. Jackson, Age 75 – Pulp Fiction

With more than 150 movies to his name, Samuel Leroy Jackson is one of the highest-grossing actors in showbiz today, with his films grossing more than $16.7 billion on the box office. After his graduation in 1972, Jackson moved to New York City where he took part in many stage plays, however, he later developed cocaine addiction which cut his Broadway career short.

Jackson’s career took off following his collaborations with directors like Quentin Tarantino and Spike Lee in action movies like Pulp Fiction, Jungle Fever, Django Unchained, and Snakes on A Plane. Jackson will reprise his Marvel character Nick Fury in the 2021 premiere of the television series Secret Invasion.

Steven Seagal, Age 71 – Under Siege

Before becoming the fearless on-screen kickboxing, gun-wielding, martial arts alpha male that we all know and love him for, Steven Seagal was actually an English professor and martial arts instructor. After choreographing fight scenes in action movies for stars like Sean Connery, Seagal was drawn towards the roles himself.

After returning to the United States, Seagal brought his talents to the big screen in his late ‘80s debut Above the Law, followed by Hard to Kill and Under Siege. He also made his directorial debut in 1994 with the movie On Deadly Ground. Seagal is set to make a comeback as Niko in the hotly anticipated sequel Above the Law 2.

Nancy Kovack, Age 87 – Jason and the Argonauts

Born in Flint, Michigan, Nancy Kovack was a stunningly beautiful actress during her prime. By the time she graduated from the University of Michigan, she had already won eight beauty pageants at the age of 20. She made her acting debut in a brief appearance on Glea Girls.

After her debut, Kovak played relatively significant parts in the 1950 game show, Beat the Clock, followed by Today and The Dave Garroway Show. She has given her most famous performances in productions like Star Trek, Batman, Frank and Johnny, and The Silencers. At age 86, Kovak is enjoying her well-deserved and much-needed retirement.

Kathleen Turner, Age 68 – Romancing The Stone

Mary Kathleen Turner gained fame and stardom in the ‘80s due to her stunning features, intellect, and on-screen prowess. She started off in theater and Broadway, giving noteworthy performances in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? before moving on to make her Hollywood debut.

After working on the small screen for a few years, Turner made her big-screen debut in 1981 with Body Heat. Her most popular films to date include Romancing the Stone, Peggy Sue Got Married, Serial Mom, and The War of the Roses. In 2021, Turner is starring in the third season of Chuck Lorre’s The Kominsky Method as Ruth as of 2021.

Margaret Kerry, Age 93 – Canon City

Born in Los Angeles, California, Margaret Kerry started acting while still studying in school. After her acting debut in 1935, Kerry appeared in several short films and won a contract from RKO. After graduating from Los Angeles City College, Kerry left RKO and signed with 20th Century Fox as an actor, performer, and co-host.

Kerry gave her most significant performances in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s in productions like Canon City, The Long Ranger, Clutch Cargo, and If You Knew Susie. In 2016, Kerry released her biography, titled Tinker Bell Talk: Tales of a Pixie Dusted Life.

Cher, Age 76 – Moonstruck

Born as Cherilyn Sarkisian El Centro, Cher is a legendary singer and actress who rose to fame as a part of the pop duo Sonny & Cher when their single I Got You Babe topped the charts.

After branching out with her successful solo career, Cher made her film debut in the 1980s with movies like Silkwood and Mask. Her most notable performances on the screen came in productions like Burlesque, Mermaids, and Moonstruck, which won her an Academy Award. Her documentary Cher and the Loneliest Elephant is expected to release in April 2021.

Bolo Yeung is one of the pioneers of making the transition from being a martial artist and bodybuilder to a successful actor. He participated in several projects, including the full movie Enter The Dragon where he starred opposite the legendary Bruce Lee.

Bolo has also co-starred alongside Jean Claude Van Damme and mostly played villain roles during his long career. In May 2019, it was announced that the documentary Chinese Hercules: The Bolo Yeung Story would hit theaters soon.

David Thewlis – 59

Born in Blackpool, England, David Thewlis has been one of the most skilled actors in Britain since the mid-’80s. He landed his breakthrough role in 1993, the year he starred in a masterpiece black comedy directed by Mike Leigh. His subsequent career was marked both by features in critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful productions.

With more than 100 credits in his filmography, Thewlis continues as active as ever and wowed the audience with his performance in the fan-favorite 2022 series “The Sandman.” He also portrayed ‘Remus Lupin’ in the “Harry Potter” film series, ‘Sir Patrick’ in “Wonder Woman,” and ‘V.M. Varga’ in “Fargo.”

Patricia Arquette – 54

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Arquette has been a top Hollywood performer since the early ’90s and isn’t slowing down. Anytime we think she’s done stunning her fans, the “Medium” superstar comes back with a performance that can win over the heart of pretty much anyone.

Bob Odenkirk – 59

By 2015, nobody doubted that Bob Odenkirk was among the best American actors around. He was fabulous in the award-winning drama “Nebraska” and perfect in the role of ‘Saul Goodman’ in “Breaking Bad.” But once ‘Goodman’ was given his own series—titled “Better Call Saul”—Odenkirk proved that his best was yet to come.

From 2015 to 2022, Odenkirk portrayed the character of ‘Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman’ to perfection and delivered a long-running performance that landed him nominations for the Emmys and the admiration of his peers. With a lot left to give, Odenkirk started his acting career in 1987 and appeared in over 40 movies and series.

Mark Margolis – 82

Most people would know the American actor Mark Margolis for his appearance in “Scarface,” arguably one of the most popular movies of all time. However, Margolis is far from being a one-trick pony; to younger viewers, he will always be remembered for his role as ‘Hector Salamanca’ in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” To movie buffs, he is mainly recognized for his recurring features in Darren Aronofsky films such as “Pi” and “Requiem for a Dream.”

Even though he has appeared in over 160 productions since the late ’50s, Margolis remains active today and has starred in the 2022 thriller “Broken Soldier.”
