Mariesa cast her mind back to the events of the day they had adopted Storie. The workers at the shelter had informed them that Storie was pregnant when she had been brought to them. And in their opinion, she would only give birth to about six puppies.
Most dog breeds can only carry about six to seven pups in a litter. However, large dogs like labradors and Great Danes are known for more than puppies at a time. Their bodies are well designed to carry and handle the development of that many pups. But the same cannot be said for Pitbulls. So Storie was a fascinating case.
