For a couple determined to adopt a single dog, Mariesa and Chris were very excited to see the pregnant pitbull. They were moved by compassion to consider her a worthy addition to their growing family back home. And as they walked up to her enclosure, she trotted forward and gazed at them fondly.
They decided at that moment that the dog needed all the love and care she could get. And she would be more comfortable at home with them than in the dreary environment of the shelter. They approached the workers with their minds made up. “We’re interested in that pitbull,” Mariesa said.
