JAY CUTLER – $30 Million

Listed as one of the ‘100 Greatest Bears of All Time,’ the retired American football quarterback Jay Cutler is embracing a new challenge following his divorce. In 2020, he announced that he was splitting from his wife, TV personality Kristin Cavallari, and the couple ended up listing their dreamy $7.9 million property in Nashville.

Following his retirement, Cutler decided to continue to add to his $30 million net worth by working as a TV host. In 2022, you may have seen his show “Uncut with Jay Cutler,” in which he shares frank conversations with former teammates, colleagues, and numerous pop-culture personalities.

BEN ROETHLISBERGER – $100 Million

The 2022 offseason poses a huge problem for the Pittsburgh Steelers: following the retirement of the legendary Ben Roethlisberger, they will be forced to find a new superstar quarterback for the first time since… 2004! That’s right: Roethlisberger played American football at the highest level between 2004 and 2021, managing to land two Super Bowl championships and the 2004 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award in the meantime.

Roethlisberger’s $100 million net worth looks impressive, but not so much if you consider that he once signed an $87.9 million contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers that also included a $25 million bonus!

STEVE YOUNG – $200 Million

Featured in a 2022 episode of “The Issue Is,” the retired American football quarterback Steve Young is still one of the most influential opinion-makers on all NFL-related subjects. An outspoken admirer of the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, he’s a three-time Super Bowl champion and one-time Super Bowl MVP who’s best known for his spell with the San Francisco 49ers.

Young’s athletic prowess is what made him famous, but this NFL icon is also a law graduate and successful businessman, who co-founded the equity firm Huntsman Gay Global Capital in 2007. As managing director of the $4.25 billion company, Young managed to save a fortune of $200 million.

ROGER STAUBACH – $600 Million

On the occasion of Roger Staubach’s 80th birthday, Sports Illustrated published an article wondering whether he’s the greatest of all time of the Dallas Cowboys franchise. In that debate, Staubach counts on the fierce competition of the iconic Emmitt Smith; but when it comes to making money, he’s perhaps NFL’s undisputed GOAT.

Staubach is a two-time Super Bowl champion and former Super Bowl MVP, but where does his staggering $600-million fortune come from? A savvy businessman, Staubach managed to turn his real estate business (which he started during the offseason) into a success and ended up selling the company for $613 million in 2008.

ROB GRONKOWSKI – $45 Million

The possible retirement of the “Gronk” has made countless headlines in 2022. For now, even Rob Gronkowski’s girlfriend said she wants him to continue! But whatever happens, one thing’s for sure: with four Super Bowl championships and the 2014 Comeback Player of the Year award in the bag, this Amherst, New York native is an NFL legend already.

With a reported net worth of $45 million and an enviable list of former salaries that go up to $9 million annually, Gronkowski loves to spend his money on lavish residences. The owner of a $1.7 million Miami pad, he paid $7 million for a Hudson Yards family home in 2021.
