Jonathan Lynn and Rita Merkelis – 53 Years
British actor, writer, director, and singer Jonathan Lynn married Canadian psychotherapist and actress Rita Merkelis in August 1967, and the couple is still going strong today after 53 years. Merkelis enjoyed a brief stint in showbiz as an actress, making her debut as Maureen Harris in the ’67 drama series Honey Lane before retiring in 1973.
On the other hand, Lynn has been a part of Hollywood since his 1971 debut in Doctor at Large, writing and directing films like Clue, Nuns on the Run, and My Cousin Vinny. Lynn is currently busy writing the script for his upcoming comedy film Clue: Presentation Short.
