A year before Neil Patrick Harris landed his iconic role as Barney Stinson in the TV show How I Met Your Mother, he started dating David Burtka, whom he met in the early 2000s through a mutual friend. At the time, the actor wasn’t out yet but made the revelation in 2006 after rumors about his personal orientation began swirling.
Both of them proposed to each other before welcoming their fraternal twins in 2010. It was only four years later when Harris and Burtka officially exchanged vows in Italy. Since, they have hit several milestones, including their sixth anniversary in 2020, which they commemorated on social media.
