Richard Hatch went down in history as the first winner of Survivor, the marooned-themed reality competition show that premiered in 2000. While he walked away with the $1-million prize, things went downhill for him after the show when he was convicted for tax evasion. Following the sentencing, in 2006, he spent 51 months behind bars for failing to pay his taxes. His fortunes turned around again after he participated in Celebrity Apprentice in 2011, followed by the Australian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
