Leslie Philips is a legend of British TV and radio. He rose to prominence in the ’50s for playing high-class comedy roles in several series. He gained fame for his catchphrases “Ding Dong” and “He-llo” and starring in the long-running iconic films like the “Carry On” series and “Doctor in the House.”
He is also renowned for his voice work and starred in the popular radio show “The Navy Lark.” In later years, he also voiced the sorting hat in the “Harry Potter” films. He is also a long-term supporter of Tottenham Hotspurs and also received the freedom of the City of London in November 2010.
