Ruth Westheimer, aka Dr. Ruth, is a media personality who rose to prominence with a radio show that dealt with romance and intimacy. The show debuted in 1980 and went on for a decade. She also hosted TV shows for Lifetime and other cable programs. In addition to that, she’s also a published author with many literary works to her name. In 2019, a documentary about her life was released titled Ask Dr. Ruth, which will be available for streaming on Hulu. Recently, she’s been very vocal in taking a stand against child refugees being separated from their parents.
