Grant Hill – African American Art
Former basketball player and Atlanta Hawks co-owner, Grant Hill, is an art collector. He prefers art pieces from African American artists. In fact, Hill has the largest collection worldwide of African American art. He believes that art should be shared with others, and that’s precisely what he did.
Hill embarked on a seven-city tour to showcase his private collection. He donated the proceeds from the art tour towards a scholarship set up to assist deserving people who want to pursue art degrees. Hill’s expansive collection includes works by Elizabeth Catlett and Romare Bearden, amongst other artists.
