We can all agree that the old is gold, and it isn’t truer as evidenced by the stashes of rare, vintage items celebrities collect. In the case of Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks, he has a habit of collecting old typewriters. The appreciation for typewriters is well-understood by authors, with some even penning down great works on them.
Hanks considers them as beautiful works of art. He has shared that he started collecting them when he had some money to spare. His addiction to the old inventions is so serious that he announced back in 2014 that he’s writing a publication about typewriters.
