Hollywood Celebrities Who Are Crazy Hobby Collectors
John Lennon – Stamps
Stamp collecting is another popular hobby, and some celebrities are also Philatelists just like The Beatles‘ John Lennon. Having been collecting since he was just ten years old, he managed to collect 550 used stamps specimens. Stanley Parks, his cousin, shared that he was the one who gave Lennon a hardcover album to store his stamps.
Lennon had the honor of having his face printed on a stamp collection as part of a Music Icon series issued by the U.S. Postal Services. The Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum, who has custody of Lennon’s stamp collection, put them back in display in 2018 prompted by the newly released stamps.
