Michael Phelps – $80 Million
It’s quite a challenge to recall a time when we watched the Olympic swimming events, and Michael Phelps wasn’t winning every race he took part in. He also holds the record for winning the highest number of Olympic medals ever. Phelps must have a separate display cabinet for the gold medals alone as he has 66 of them (including 23 Olympic golds).
Even though Phelps is only 35, he retired four years ago (2016). Before you wonder why he retired early, well, he already has an $80 million fortune. Plus, he still makes $9.3 million annually from endorsements and investments, as per The Street.
