Sir Ben Kingsley was born on December 31st, 1943. Kingsley was born Krishna Pandit Bhanji and is an English actor with a five-decade career. He has won an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Grammy Award, and two Golden Globes.
Kingsley is best known for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi (1982), for which he received Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and BAFTA nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010. Kingsley has four children and has been married four times.
