Sidney Poitier is truly an icon in the industry because he was the first ever black (and Bahamian) actor who bagged the Best Actor Award at the Academy and Golden Globe Awards. This was all because of his performance in the movie, Lilies of the Field. He was also able to work behind the camera and has directed a number of movies.
There was also a time he was appointed as the Bahamian Ambassador to Japan. With the $25 million he has amassed, he must have a good wealth management adviser with him.
