Barbara Jill Walters is one of the most famous journalists in the United States being a television personality and author of books. In hosting many television shows throughout her career, Walters has worked on 20/20, Today, and ABC Evening News. She started out in the ’60s by working as a writer and producer of a segment on The Today Show. Eventually, her popularity grew, and she received more airtime.
In 1997, Walters created and co-hosted The View, a talk show with an all-female panel. She retired as a co-host in 2014, but still works on the show as an executive producer.
