Yoko Ono already had a career as an artist before she met The Beatles’ John Lennon. In fact, she met Lennon because he visited her art exhibit in London back in 1966. Aside from sharing creative passions, the two also shared the same views in activism, which is why they eventually became a couple and later married.
Aside from the mentioned talents, Ono is also a songwriter and a singer, and her album collaboration with Lennon, Double Fantasy, became a big hit in 1980. Now 85 years old, Ono still pursues her craft, philanthropic works, and her social activism, with her focus on the non-violent fight for human rights.
