The Brightest Stars Of The ’80s And Where They Ended Up
Philip Michael Thomas – 71
Phillip Michael Thomas’ fortune could have been much bigger under different circumstances. He rose to stardom as Ricardo Tubbs in the iconic Miami Vice, while he achieved wider recognition for his role on Sparkle alongside Irene Cara. He subsequently didn’t manage to land more lucrative parts though, while in the ’80s, he released two studio albums which had not-so-good earnings. You might recognize his voice though, as he’s behind three different Grand Theft Auto videogames, which all became super-successful. The last time we actually saw Thomas on-screen was in the 2003 film Fate, and he’s pretty much disappeared since then.
