These Models Wear Nothing but Confidence and Mind-Blowing Paint
Feathers Are So Last Season

It takes a second glance and maybe a slow blink to realize that this isn’t a photo of an actual pelican. Gesine Marwedel has somehow painted a human into a full-on bird without a single feather out of place. The beak, the wings, the posture—everything lines up so smoothly it almost feels like the model flew in from a wildlife documentary and settled into a yoga pose.
This doesn’t scream for attention, but it absolutely holds it. The use of the model’s limbs as part of the pelican’s form is clever without being showy, and the reflection on the water ties it all together with a calm, surreal finish.
