Unraveling the Mystery
With cotton swabs in hand, Dr. Greene made his way back to the Thompsons. One by one, he gently swabbed the cheeks of each puppy. To him, those 12 wiggling little mouths were 12 tiny mysteries waiting to be solved. Luckily for him and the pups, DNA testing in dogs required a simple swipe along the inside of the cheek.
Once again, he would send the samples to the lab, but this time, there would be 12 samples. Dr. Greene hoped that everyone, including himself, the Thompsons, and even his peers, would finally get answers. Whatever was happening with these puppies, he wasn’t going to let it go.
