Labor for dogs is usually much quicker than for humans, and most deliveries last between 3 and 12 hours. But when Lola started, no one knew how long it would take or how many puppies were coming. Mrs. Thompson stayed close, comforted by the presence of the vet team. Lola was in good hands, getting more support than most dogs.
One by one, the puppies arrived. The number kept increasing from four to six to eight. The room fell into a hushed silence as the count kept climbing. In the end, they delivered 12 healthy puppies. It was an exhausting and memorable delivery for everyone involved.
