However, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, who met in 1983 at an audition, have proven it is possible. In February 2021, the couple opened up about their lasting marriage, and The Good Place actor admitted that he wasn’t ready when they first saw each other.
Indeed, Steenburgen and Danson, who currently stars in Mr. Mayor, were still married to their partners at the time. Then, they were cast to play a married couple in the 1993 movie Pontiac Moon and developed feelings for each other.
