Is this why the dolphin had come to him? Was it able to recognize his previous savior? Dolphins have the longest social memory out of any non-human. They can remember the signature whistles and blow sounds of other dolphins for almost 20 years. Rob recalled that when he had freed the dolphin it had been overjoyed.
The sea mammal had put on a little performance for Rob, dancing and swimming in the water. It didn’t even notice that being trapped in the net for some time had injured the dolphin. It had left a mark right underneath its skin. But the dolphin was not bothered by it as it swam away to join its partner who had not left it throughout the entire ordeal.
