Like most retired baseball players, Mike Piazza made out good with a decent fortune that allows him to indulge in properties. He scored a three-bedroom condo at The Ritz-Carlton Residences for $5.6 million. Piazza then enlisted the services of Alexandra Karram, an interior designer, to customize his South Beach pad.
The office is the highlight with a wall panel showcasing his massive collection of awards and mementos. That’s where he stores his twelve Louisville Slugger trophies and his Rookie of the Year award amongst other keepsakes. Karram explained that the focus was to make the room a personal sanctuary for Piazza, where he could enjoy some quiet reflection.
